Joe & Andrea Nemechek Residence
Mooresville, NC

5440 sq.ft. Living Space; 1183 sq. ft. unheated;
1795 sq.ft. 4-Car Garage. 670 sq.ft. Covered Porches; 7905 sq.ft. total under roof.

Always on the go, the Nemechek's needed a relaxing, cozy home to retreat to from their busy travel schedules. The up-dated Georgian style of their lake home features a maintenance free brick veneer exterior with stucco accents and views from all rooms to the lake.

The setting for this Georgian style home is a fabulous lakefront site with an eastern exposure on its view side, where morning and late day sun fill the home with light.

At dusk, the glow of the setting sun in the background accents the glow from the many windows in the living spaces on the lake side of their home.

The Summer Kitchen porch was created for outdoor entertaining, easily accessible to the lake and the main house, enhancing their casual lifestyle away from the racing circuit.

Upon entering the home, the Foyer opens to the 2-story Great Room featuring a stone fireplace and balcony from the second floor. A full wall of windows creates maximum lake views from this room.

A theme of cherry wood and stainless steel is carried throughout the home. In the Dining Room a tray ceiling is trimmed in stainless steel and the room is surrounded by custom made cherry columns with matching trim.

The Kitchen flows from the sunken Great Room area with a Breakfast area, lake views and direct access to the Summer Kitchen. The cherry cabinets have a column theme to match to others in the home and a stainless steel backsplash finishes off the design.

The Master Suite has a fireplace view on one side and access to a private covered porch on the other. A sunken hot tub on the porch takes advantage of the lake views.

A circus theme was created with murals and accessories in the children's Playroom area, over-looking the lake below.
