Designer Program Highlights Work of Local Business Owner

Residential Design Specialist, Jennifer B. Pippin, is helping The Designing Doctor, Margi Kyle, ASID, IDS, “pull it all together” for her new television show, Desperate Design. Pippin was recently interviewed and will be featured on two upcoming episodes of the monthly television show.

As with any television program that an audience finds useful, entertaining and worth watching, there is extensive background work and preparation involved in making it a success. It is essential to start with a thorough plan and someone that can properly execute the material - the same is true for a new home, renovation or interior design. With this knowledge, Pippin, Owner of Pippin Home Designs, teamed with Kyle to share ideas and tips with Charlotte-area residents.  The two episodes will air in November and December and will examine design concepts such as Feng Shui and look at current trends.

With the November show, Kyle and Pippin will guide the audience through a historic home built in 1895, which Pippin has renovated into her design studio. Upon entering the front door, viewers will begin a tour that continues through the office space. During the tour, Kyle and her cameras focus on the Feng Shui principles that were used to accentuate the flow of positive energy and abundance as well as the bright, vibrant colors chosen by Pippin staff to inspire creativity.  Joined by Valerie DeLong of Feng Shui Concepts, the group highlights examples of the ancient Chinese philosophy.

The second episode including Pippin is set to air in December and will feature a custom home designed for a repeat client. During this show, Kyle and Pippin concentrate on the warm and inviting feel created by the open design and the use of faux finishing and interior painting tips that can easily alter a look or add a special element. Emphasized during the walk-through are the amazing lake views, which Pippin’s award-winning work is known for accentuating.

Pippin feels honored to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Designer Kyle, and the respect is mutual. Kyle states, “Desperate Design is being built on actuality and not reality - to be the best, I have to work with the best. Jenny Pippin is just that, and I am thrilled to be working with her!”

By doing this, a space is created that truly reflects and represents the individuals involved. “Everybody wants to work with the best. Through Desperate Design, viewers will be able to pick up lots of ideas that will finish and fill a space with what makes them happy.”
