Gaynor-Baird Residence
Lake Norman, NC

3126 sq.ft. Living Space;
50 sq. ft. unheated;
354 sq.ft. Covered Porches
3530 sq.ft. Total Under Roof
No Garage Space

This older existing lake home was purchased as an investment initially. Due to it's close proximity to the lake, providing excellent water views, the home had become 'grandfathered' into its location, which created the need to redesign it rather than remove it and build a new home further removed from the lake. The main objective of this project was to give the home some badly needed curb appeal, as well as, up-date the floor plan with larger, more functional living spaces and additional bedrooms.

Renovation included adding 450 square feet of living space to extend the living area 14 feet beyond the original kitchen location to accommodate a more spacious dining, kitchen, laundry room and great room.
