Pippin Begins Renovation of Historic Building for New Office Location posted Dec 11, 2003

With sixteen years of experience as a custom residential design firm, Pippin Home Designs, Inc. has seen its share of changes.  From the early days of the company, based in Jennifer B. Pippin’s small home office, to the leased space the company has occupied for over five years, the firm has grown as its reputation for creating custom “homes with a view” has spread.  As part of that growth, Pippin Home Designs, Inc. has just announced their plans to relocate to Cornelius, NC.

The new offices will be located on Catawba Avenue in Cornelius, just off Interstate 77, north of Charlotte.  Since the firm specializes in custom new home and renovation designs, Pippin felt it appropriate that their office be located in a house.  “It’s always been my dream to have my office in a restored historic home,” says Jennifer B. Pippin, Residential Designer and president of Pippin Home Designs, Inc.  “I had been looking for property for awhile when I came across the house and it just seemed ideal for us.”

Formerly the retail location of “Four Friends”, the house was built in 1911 and has a distinct center hall traditional style.  Pippin plans to update the house and incorporate some aesthetic improvements, while maintaining the building’s historic appeal.  “Work is set to begin immediately and we hope to complete renovations so that Pippin and her staff can move in by March 2004,” says Bob Bastine of Robert Thomas Renovations in Mooresville.
