There are numerous companies that can build a home, but you should settle for nothing less than a company that will craft your home. A truly custom home is crafted with fine attention to every detail from the foundation up. Be sure that your best interest is the builder's top priority, and know what to expect as your vision becomes reality.
The fact is, with your team in place, a custom home of more than 3,500 square feet can realisitically take between eight months and one year to build from groundbreaking to completion. A remodeling project of more than 1,500 square feet can take from six months to one year, depending on the intricacy of tear-down prior to construction.

Pippin's Projects: Not Just Waterfront
 With a varied portfolio of designs for waterfront, wooded and mountainside views, Pippin Home Designs has earned it's reputation for optimizing property views regardless of a home's location. While much of our work is centered around our office location at Lake Norman, our experience is not limited to lakefront property.
With views onto surrounding woods, rolling pastures and the swimming pool, the Irvan's property had much to offer and needed a design that would maximize it's potential. Pippin developed the design to meet the family's needs while still allowing for views from all areas of the home.

From Jenny's Design Board
 Although Pippin's designs cover the Lake Norman, NC area, they are not limited to this lakeside community or even North Carolina. Reaching across multiple states, Pippin's custom new home and renovation designs cater to the property's views- be it a mountainside, waterfront or wooded view.
When Pippin received a request for information on her services from Pennsylvania, it was nothing unusual. Eileen Van Fleet was frustrated with the lack of local residential designers and had taken to the internet in search of alternative resources. After researching Pippin's website and repeated telephone interviews, Eileen and her husband decided that Pippin Home Designs, Inc. would create their new home.
As the design of the Van Fleet home has progressed, Pippin has stayed in contact with the couple through email, fax, telephone and mail. Although many do not begin by looking for a designer hundreds of miles away, the VanFleet family has proven that a design can successfully be brought to life by Pippin Home Designs, regardless of the distance.

In The News
We're excited to announce that one of our renovation projects is featured in the Autumn issue of Today's Custom Home magazine,which comes out this month. Look for the two page spread which highlights the Mc Auliffe residence as it was transformed from a lakefront cottage to a fabulous full time residence.
Also, our First Place award in the AIBD National Design Competition has brought with it lots of attention from the local media. Perhaps you've already read about the award in The Huntersville Herald, The Charlotte Business Journal, Lake Norman Times or Iredell Neighbors, etc.
